Librarians name Operation Math a Top Teaching and Learning App.
Champaign, Illinois, June 30, 2013 — For the first time ever, the American Association of School Librarians has compiled their top list of the “Best apps for Teaching and Learning” — and a popular Spinlight math app has made the cut. Designed to help kids from 5 to 12 learn their math tables, Operation Math has been a big hit ever since it burst onto the iTunes App Store, thanks to its fast-paced, spy-based theme. And now it’s one of only 25 apps on the planet to hold this distinctive honor.
“Our objective has always been to make apps so fun that kids forget they’re learning,” says Matt Hutton, CEO and co-founder of Spinlight Studio. And that’s easy enough to do in a game that features global spy missions and the chance to win a long list of cool spy wear. Available for both iOS and Android, Operation Math is currently the number-one recommended math game in the iTunes app store. For schools with more kids than devices, Hutton also recommends Operation Math Code Squad, the four-player version of the award-winning game.
