Us Weekly names AlphaTots™ a best "Guilt-free" app.
Champaign, Illinois, August 15, 2013 — When the kids are screaming and your hands are full, it’s tempting just to toss them the iPad and run. But is that the right thing to do? That depends on the apps that are loaded on it, according to Us Weekly, which recently published its top list of the “Best Guilt-Free Apps” for kids.
In an issue dedicated to Hollywood moms who know about busy schedules, the magazine praised eight apps for their ability to educate minors while they entertain. The must-have list was compiled with help from Ingrid Simone of Common Sense Media who selected AlphaTots from Spinlight Studio as the one app kids want to use again and again.
Surprisingly, it’s not the first time the fun letter-learning app has enjoyed a Hollywood connection. In August of last year, the Parents’ Choice Award-winning app went straight to number two in education after Soleil Moon Frye of Punky Brewster fame declared that her kid was “obsessed” with the app in an appearance on the Today Show. To see the full list of the best guilt-free apps, along with some useful parenting tips from your favorite Hollywood stars, check out the August 19th edition of the popular magazine — on stands now, or view it online here.
